Criminal Defense and Mitigation

Homicide | Arson | Drug Charges | Sex Crimes | Juvenile Offenders | RICO

Accused of a crime? Feel as if you are “guilty until proven innocent”?

The 6th Amendment to the United States Constitution entitles everyone to, "...the right to a speedy and public trial...to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense."  The American Bar Association states that, "Defense counsel has a duty to investigate in all cases, and to determine whether there is a sufficient factual basis for criminal charges."

Defendants in a criminal case run the risk of being stripped of the life and liberty they are entitled to. A criminal defense investigator is a valuable and essential member of your defense team. The investigator will shed light on the “real terms” of the alleged incident, and collect, analyze, and present unbiased information to the defense attorney. This information will be used to dislodge and disrupt the State presented case of complete guilt, and provide the attorney with weight to back up their arguments.

As a mitigation specialist, our investigations can assist in post-trial convictions and reduced sentencing. The mitigation investigator works to discover and present factors in a criminal defendant's life that can influence sentencing and avoid harsh punishment. The mitigation process gives truth, the whole truth, its voice and can serve to  humanize the accused.
